The agreement for using this guide

Using the guide

This field guide is published by Duets Learning as a practical tool for facilitators, trainers and anyone working with story. By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

You may use the guide for your own work, including paid facilitation and teaching, and you may print the workbook for yourself and for participants in sessions you run.

What belongs to us

The text of the guide, its tools, checklists, structure, design and the Duets Learning name and logo remain the property of Duets Learning.

Please do not republish the guide or substantial parts of it, sell it, present it as your own material, or build a competing product from its contents without written permission. Short quotations with credit to Duets Learning and facilitatingwithstory.com are welcome.

What belongs to you

Everything you write into the guide is yours. It stays on your own device, we make no claim to it, and we never see it. What you do with your stories, in a room, in a course, in print, is entirely your decision.

Keeping your own copies

Your work is saved only in your browser. We cannot recover it for you, and we cannot restore anything lost when browser data is cleared, a device fails, or a story is deleted. Export your stories regularly if they matter to you.

The guide is offered as it is. We aim to keep it available and working offline, but we do not promise uninterrupted access, and the material may change or be updated over time.

Judgement stays with you

The guide offers professional guidance, not advice about any particular person, organisation or situation. Stories drawn from real life can carry real consequences: permission, confidentiality, safety and tone are your responsibility as the facilitator.

To the extent the law allows, Duets Learning is not liable for loss arising from the use of this guide, including lost work, or from decisions made in a session based on it.

Fair use of the site

Please do not attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it in bulk, or use it to store or distribute unlawful material.

Changes and contact

These terms may be updated; the current version always appears on this page. Questions can go to Duets Learning at duetslearning.com.
