Privacy statement
Everything you write in this field guide is stored in your own browser, on the device you are using. It is not sent to us, it is not stored on a server, and we cannot read it.
There are no accounts, no sign-in and no newsletter. We do not sell or share anything, because we do not collect anything.
Your stories, their names and every answer you type into a field tool, checklist or score, are saved in your browser's local storage. They stay there until you delete them here, clear your browser data, or remove the site from your device.
Clearing your browser history or site data will erase your stories. Use the export option in the story library to keep a copy as a file on your own computer.
The guide also stores a copy of its own pages on your device so it keeps working with no signal. That copy contains only the guide itself, never your writing.
No names, email addresses or contact details. No analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. No profiling, and nothing sold or passed to third parties.
Hosting: the site is served by our hosting provider, which may keep ordinary, short-lived server logs such as the request time and browser type, as any website does. Those logs never contain what you write.
Links out: the footer links to duetslearning.com and facilitatingwithstory.com, and the share buttons open Facebook, X, LinkedIn or your email app. Once you follow one of those, that company's own privacy terms apply. A share button only ever passes the address of this site and its title, never your story.
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which will see your device's network address as part of that request.
Stories about real people are often sensitive. If you are working on a shared or public computer, or an unlocked device, treat what you write here the way you would treat a notebook left on a table: delete the story when you are done, or keep names out of it.
Exported files are plain files on your machine. Where they go next is up to you.
You can rename or delete any story at any time in the story library, export everything as a file, import it on another device, or remove all of it by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
If this statement changes, the updated version will appear on this page. Questions about it can go to Duets Learning at duetslearning.com.
